Personnel should report to the Personnel Support Detachment (PSD) at Building 92, Anacostia Annex, 235 Wick Drive SW, Washington, DC 20373. PSD hours: Mon–Fri 0730–1530. Phone: (202) 433-5165. Bring multiple copies of orders, leave forms, medical and dental records, and applicable documentation. In-processing typically takes several days.
For after-hours arrival, temporary lodging is available through the Navy Lodge at Bellevue Housing; call (202) 563-6950 to reserve (PCS personnel have priority, up to 60 days in advance). If on-base lodging is unavailable, request a letter of non-availability for commercial hotel reimbursement. The Housing Services Office can be reached at (202) 404-1840.
The Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) is at 2767 Watson Road SW, Suite 101, and can be reached at (202) 433-6151 or (866) 557-4410. The FFSC manages the Relocation Assistance Program, sponsor coordination, and Welcome Aboard orientation for all incoming personnel and families.

What are the visitor gate hours?
O Street Gate (Main Gate / Visitor Control Center) is the main visitor access gate and is open 24 hours a day. Other gates are restricted to military and DoD ID holders — see the Gates section for full schedules.

How do visitor passes work?
Visitors must be sponsored by someone with base access and should contact the installation's Visitor Control Center in advance with their government-issued ID and vehicle info. Day passes are issued at the gate; extended access may require additional coordination.

What is BAH and how is it calculated?
BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) is a monthly stipend based on your pay grade, dependency status, and the duty station ZIP code — it is not counted as taxable income. Rates are updated each January; use the BAH Calculator in the Finance section to see current figures for NSA Washington.

What should I do first after receiving PCS orders?
