In-Processing
Military personnel arriving during duty hours contact their unit's Commander Support Staff. After-hours arrivals report to the Angelo Inn (Building 3305), the 24/7 arrival point. Air Force Finance in-processing is held Mon, Tue, and Thu at 0900 in Building 430. Each branch has designated in-processing locations: Marines report to Building 3227, Army to the 344th MI Battalion Staff Duty, Navy/Coast Guard to Building 420.
Newcomer's Orientation is mandatory for all arriving permanent-party Air Force members and is held monthly from 0715–1600. The orientation includes a mandatory San Angelo city tour. Sponsorship is mandatory for all personnel below colonel rank.
Goodfellow AFB is the sole training installation for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and fire support across all military branches. Its joint service population makes in-processing somewhat more complex — confirm branch-specific reporting requirements with your gaining unit before arrival.
