MCB Hawaii/ MCAS Kaneohe Bay History
Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay is part of Marine Corps Base Hawaii on the windward side of Oahu. Originally a naval air station attacked on December 7, 1941, it has served as a Marine aviation facility since 1952. Today it supports rotary-wing and tiltrotor operations for Marine units assigned to the Pacific theater. The station provides training, maintenance, and logistics for aviation units that must be ready to project power across the Indo-Pacific.

In-Processing
Upon arrival at Honolulu International Airport, proceed to the USO lounge near Baggage Claim Area “F” if your sponsor is not available for pickup. Report to your unit and the Personnel Administration Center (IPAC/S-1) for base in-processing. All unescorted personnel must pre-enroll in the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) at least five business days (but no more than 30 days) prior to base access.
Check in with the TLA Office immediately upon arrival to receive Temporary Lodging Allowance counseling and authorization. The Family Housing Office at Building 1571 Lawrence Road can be reached at (808) 496-2676, Mon–Thu 0730–1530 and Wed 0730–1400, and assists with temporary and permanent housing assignments.
Marine & Family Programs and EFMP are located at Building 219 and can be reached at (808) 496-0290, Mon–Fri 0730–1630. Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Hawaii provides comprehensive relocation support and newcomer orientation resources.
