JEB Little Creek-Fort Story History
Named AfterMajor General John Patten Story (Fort Story)
Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Virginia, combines two installations that were joined in 2009. Little Creek is the major East Coast base for Naval Special Warfare and Expeditionary forces, including SEAL teams and special boat units. Fort Story, on Cape Henry at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, supports Army transportation and amphibious operations. Together they form a key hub for joint special operations and expeditionary training on the East Coast.
