Welcome to Tyndall Air Force Base, home of the 325th Fighter Wing. Situated on a scenic peninsula southeast of Panama City, Tyndall is an Air Combat Command installation surrounded by the East Bay, Saint Andrew Bay, and Saint Andrew Sound. Founded in 1941 as a World War II gunnery range, the base famously hosted trainees like actor Clark Gable. Today, Tyndall supports the 325th Fighter Wing alongside the garrisoned 44th Fighter Group. Flanked by beautiful coastal waters and nearby Panama City, you’ll find a rich history and strong community support both on and off base.
