Late winter and early spring are some of the best times of year to see stunning coastal wildlife in San Diego, from whale watching off the coast to visiting Children’s Pool Beach to watch harbor seal pups play in the sand.
Don’t miss the La Jolla tidepools in March, one of the last months with minus tides during daylight hours. These minus tides reveal miniature marine habitats in the tide pools where you might see anemones, crabs, sea slugs, or even octopuses!
