About NAS Meridian

Welcome to Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian is one of the Navy’s two jet strike pilot training facilities training Sailors and Marines. NAS Meridian is about 8,000 acres of land, and 4,000 additional acres occupied by Outlying Field (OFL) Joe Williams Field. Naval Air Station Meridian boasts an economic impact of more than $430 million annually for MS. The base is roughly 15 to 20 miles northeast of Meridian, Mississippi, and employs nearly 3,000 active-duty personnel.
