Here's what's on the radar in military life this week. The Pentagon plans to pick a location for a massive new U.S. military base by June 2027. States have until December 1st to make their pitch. Officials say the installation could support up to 25,000 troops and their families. The Iran war is taking a growing toll on U.S. military resources. Pentagon estimates obtained by Reuters put the cost above $47 billion. That's up more than 25 percent since July. More than $29 billion alone is expected to replace munitions used during months of U.S. combat operations. Health coverage is getting more expensive for military families with young adult children. TRICARE young adult premiums will jump in January to $893 a month for prime and $394 for select. That means some military families could pay more than $10,000 a year just to keep one young adult covered. And over on Veteran Life, the Milwaukee Brewers just made history with their first-ever World Series win, but some baseball champions have worn more than one uniform. From the beaches of Normandy to the jungles of Vietnam, some of baseball's biggest names put their careers on hold to serve their country. As always, make sure you follow along so you never miss what's on the radar.
