Lackland AFB Barracks

If you are unaccompanied or a geographic bachelor, there are housing options on base. Most bases only allow E1-E4 to live in unaccompanied housing due to limited space so call ahead to check availability. Lackland AFB Housing Office

Wait times for on Lackland base housing average one month but can sometimes be longer. Contact the Housing Service Center for the most up to date information. The Air Force manages your housing application and the waitlist. The Privatized Managing Partner manages the lease signing, property management, and meeting the residents’ needs. In order to apply, call the Military Housing Office and they will guide you through the process and inform you of current wait times. Lackland AFB Housing Options

There are six housing neighborhoods on Lackland Air Force Base with various floor plans and amenities. Each community has things like walking trails, sports courts, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Note: Even though some neighborhoods may include all ranks, only certain units within that neighborhood may be available to certain ranks. Though some neighborhoods are open to all ranks, certain floor plans may be restricted to those of higher rank.

1. Airman Scott Village

Ranks: E1-E6 This neighborhood has a variety of three, three, four, and even five-bedroom homes with fenced-in backyards, garages, and fully equipped kitchens. There are playgrounds, a basketball court, close proximity to the Base Exchange and Commissary, and Lackland Elementary School.

2. Frank Tejeda East

Ranks: E1-E6 This neighborhood features two and three-bedroom homes with fully equipped kitchens and a garage. It is in close proximity to Lackland Elementary School and the community center. There is a playground, picnic area, and a community pool.

3. Frank Tejeda West

Ranks: E1-E6, military retirees, DOD employees This neighborhood has two, three, and four-bedroom homes with a variety of amenities such as a porch, garage, and fully equipped kitchen. There is a playground, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, a lighted running trail, and a community pool.

4. Lemay Estates

Ranks: O6-O9 This neighborhood for senior officers has four-bedroom homes with fenced-in backyards. There are tennis courts and easy access to a variety of base amenities.

5. North Skeet

Ranks: E7-E9, O1-O6 This neighborhood has three and four homes with fenced-in backyards and porches. There is a playground, a recreational trail, and easy access to Lackland Elementary School and the community center. There are also basketball and volleyball courts, and a community pool.

6. North Wherry

Ranks: E1-E6 This neighborhood has three and four-bedroom homes with fenced-in backyards, porches, garages, and fully equipped kitchens. Located within easy distance of the Commissary, Exchange, and Lackland Elementary School. There are several playgrounds and a basketball court.
